Minutes of the meeting held to discuss the Neighbourhood Plan for Bratton on Thursday 4th April 2024 commencing at 7.15pm

Present:  Rob Drummond (Chair), Karen Lewis-Jones, Cllr Keith Rayward, Rupert Lyon, Cllr Eddie Cole, James Linehan and Peter Thomas.

171 Apologies for Absence

172 Minutes of Previous Meeting

·         Minutes were a true reflection of the meeting

o   Proposed – Karen Lewis-Jones

o   Seconded – Keith Rayward

 

173 Report on Village Halls Week

 

·       There were 9 stands / tables at the event

·         Steering Group had a laptop with a rolling screen showing pictures, text and drone footage along with 2 x easels (climate change and the plan)

·         Easels and pictures are stored in the village hall for further use as required

174 Comments on Wiltshire Design Document and impact on our NP

 

·         Explanation by Rob about how it specifies the design and what Wilts CC want to see. This will have an impact on what is put in our plan.

·         Mike has incorporated a lot of design issues in Heritage and Character section but currently no section for Bratton Design guide that needs incorporating into it.

 

175 Current Plan Timeline

 

·         Locality have agreed to fund the Strategic Environment Assessment (SEA).

·         Kick-off meeting with AECOM on 16th April 24 to discuss the SEA. Place Studio will also attend.

·         AECOM will take 6 – 8 weeks to complete the work, which will then be commented on by the SG.

·         REG14 submission planned to be by end of July 24 – Therefore ‘On track’.

176 Neighbourhood Plan

 

·         Good progress made

·         Views / Design / Character:

o   Character assessment needs progressing. Peter to speak to Caroline to see if any extra assistance can be given to help finish it off.

o   Views needs refining with input putting them on the map. Peter to speak to Sian to see how she can be supported.

·         Green Spaces broadly finished.

·         Part A:

o   Rob to refine and insert pictures. To be passed around SG for comments by end of May.

 

177 Date of Next Meeting

It was agreed the next meeting will take place on Thursday 2nd May 2024

at 7.15pm in Bratton Church Institute.
