PL/2023/06122 – PICKERS PALMERS FARM, CAPPS LANE, HEYWOOD, WESTBURY, BA13 4NE – (Class Q) Change of use of agricultural building to 4 no. dwelling houses – Members considered relevant planning considerations pertinent to a prior approval application following which, it was resolved to it was resolved to Support the application with conditions (proposed Cllr Rayward, seconded Cllr MacDuff):

·      That the relevant planning and highway authority departments are satisfied as to the appropriateness of the development in respect of highways issues.  Members noted particularly that the access road to the proposed development was a single track lane, that there was no access for pedestrians or public transport and that visibility was poor at the junction heading towards Bratton.

·       That the detail of the design in respect of sewerage and drainage is approved by the appropriate WC department prior to approval being granted.

·       That the development provides mitigating for the impact on local flora and fauna particularly in respect of the proximity of the site to the Trowbridge Bat Mitigation Zone.

·       That confirmation is obtained in respect of the arrangements for sewerage and drainage and that the relevant WC department is satisfied.

·       The PC also asks for it to be noted that it is encouraging developments to incorporate appropriate environmental measures into the design and build details.

PL/2023/06597 – 19 Lower Road, Bratton, Westbury, BA13 4RG – Two storey rear extension – No Objection (proposed Cllr Whittaker, seconded Cllr Jolly).

PL/2023/06701 – 1 Gilberts Mead, Bratton, Westbury, BA13 4TX – Cherry tree – reduce by 40% Ash tree – pollard to low fork Tree of Heaven – reduce by 35% Norway Maple tree – reduce by 25% – Leave to Tree Officer.
